Munnar – Beauty to Kerala

Munnar, a hill resort on the western ghats of Kerala is a beautiful spot in India. Lakes, Reservoirs, and forests act to its beauty. Not only a hill resort it is also famous for the tea estates and act a center for tea trade. Munnar is situated on the convergence of the three rivers. This is a heavenly place for the nature lovers.

Munnar receives heavy rain at the month of June to September. So anytime of the year is best to have a visit to this heavenly paradise expect the monsoon seasons that last from June to September.

The lovely landscape, beautiful tea gardens and the pleasing weather make this hill resort a perfect spot of tourism. This resort is situated at a height of 1520 meters in the Eastern part of Kerala. The highest peak Anaimudi is situated close to this resort. Once in every twelve years the neighboring hills of Munnar give a fabulous sight. The mountain range is covered with beautiful Neelakurunji flowers.

Top station is the typical point that gives a amazing view of the lovely landscape and the valleys around Munnar. Hydro electricity dam, Indo-Swiss cattle breeding centre, rajamalai wildlife sanctuary, Ernakulum National Park, and Nilgiri tahr are the places that can be visited around Munnar.

Munnar is situated close to the airport at a distance of 130 km. The Kochi railway station is the nearest railway station. Munnar is connected to the places like Madurai and Coimbatore. So from these places also you can move to the heavenly paradise.
